Peer Review Policy

Archives of Pharmacology & Toxicology Journal (APTJ) has adopted a Single-blind review system, where reviewers were aware of the authors' identities but not vice-versa.

To maintain author anonymity, our editorial team performs an initial screening of each manuscript to remove any identifying information before forwarding it to the reviewers. This measure helps to further reduce potential bias in the evaluation of manuscripts.

We believe this approach strengthens the integrity of the peer review process by minimizing conscious or unconscious bias. Reviewers are expected to evaluate submissions solely on their academic merit, without being influenced by factors such as the authors’ nationality, ethnicity, institutional affiliation, political beliefs, race, or religion. Reviewers must also disclose any conflict of interest and recuse themselves from reviewing if necessary.

While total anonymity cannot be absolutely guaranteed, the double-blind system promotes a fair, non-discriminatory, and constructive peer-review environment.

Peer review is a fundamental pillar in maintaining the high standards of scientific publishing. It ensures that only rigorous, novel, and impactful research from authors and researchers around the world is published in Archives of Pharmacology & Toxicology Journal.

The journal does not offer monetary compensation to Editorial Board Members.
